2001

After 13 years working for the Oettinger Davidoff Group as product manager and brand ambassador for Avo and Griffin in Switzerland, Patrik Jonas Martin decided to create his own cigar brand: Patoro. After an intensive search for the best partner to meet his quality requirements, he finally chose Augusto Reyes from the Dominican Republic, who represents the 6th generation of tobacco producers.
2001

The market launch of the Dominican cigar series Patoro Gran Añejo Reserva in 2001 marked the beginning of Patoro's success story.
2003

Introduction of the spicy and characterful Patoro Platino line.
2005

Introduction of the young and dynamic Patoro Series P line.
2007

Introduction of the Patoro Vintage line with rare, 10-year-old wrapper leaves and the unmistakable aroma.
2009

Patrik Jonas Martin opened his first Patoro store in Olten, Switzerland, aware of how important it is for aficionados to have an ideal place to relax and live out their passion as part of an exceptional cigar experience. He likes to emphasize that “anything is possible” in his store or in “La Cocina” with the opportunity to enjoy fantastic culinary experiences in a private setting.
2010

Launch of the Patoro VA line, the finest and highest quality cigar line of the luxury brand Patoro.
2014

After studying medicine and working in plastic surgery, Dr. Pablo Richard finally decided to follow his true passion: The cigar. As the grandson of the former owner and president of the Oettinger Davidoff Group, Dr. Ernst Schneider, a key figure in the industry, he was born into the cradle of tobacco. Dr. Pablo Richard becomes a partner and board member of Patoro AG and is responsible for the company's international expansion.
2014

Introduction of the Patoro Brasil line with the hybrid Cubra wrapper, which is a hybrid of Cuban and Brazilian tobacco seeds.
2014

Introduction of Patoro cigarillos according to the motto: “The best of the rest” with a filler made from small pieces of tobacco from the processing of premium cigars.
2016

Patoro conquers the largest cigar market in the world: the USA. The brand is immediately well received by American aficionados and the number of exclusive stores selected according to very strict quality criteria increases rapidly.
This year, Patoro expands its product segment with a cigarillo. The Patoro Mini Cigarillos are made from 100% high-quality Dominican tobacco and offer perfect, pure and short smoking pleasure.
2019

Mike Wydra, former Head of Sales at Altadis USA and C.L.E., joins the US team as Director of Sales & Marketing Patoro USA.
Vincent Krembel, who worked for the Oettinger Davidoff Group for 29.5 years as Key Account Manager, Global Brands Manager and most recently in the retail sector, will become Head of Sales and Marketing Europe at Patoro AG.
2022

Introduction of the Patoro Terre Blanche on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Patoro Cigars with binder and filler tobaccos from the calcium-rich Cibao Valley, rounded off on the outside by a cuador wrapper.
